MLI Book: Initial Submission Forms Due

Marymount has just published its first book, From Prototype to Pitch: New Pathways in Design, Making, and Entrepreneurship Education - available on Lulu.com. This crowdsourced publication focuses on school projects and initiatives in these areas. We've just announced the call for submissions for our second volume, along with a new publication on global education.

The Making and Learning Institute at Marymount School of New York is calling for chapter submissions for the following upcoming publications:

From Prototype to Pitch: New Pathways in Design, Maker and Entrepreneurship Education, Volume 2
Citizens of the World: Student Experiences in the Global Village

We invite you to share your institution’s best practices, exemplar projects, ideas and frameworks that you are exploring at the leading edge of design, making, entrepreneurship, or global education. Chapters can take whatever form best represents your institution’s initiatives, while also reflecting the emerging paradigms for transformative teaching and learning. We ask that your contribution fit into one of the following categories:
·      Two-minute read
·      Five-minute read
·      Ten-minute read
·      Twenty-minute read

Chapters may include high-resolution photos but not videos.  Each publication will be available for sale on Lulu.com.

You may submit more than one chapter. Moreover, please feel free to share this submission invitation with your colleagues. If you are interested in writing a chapter, please complete the submission form.

The following deadlines apply:
March 15, 2017: Initial submission due
June 30, 2017: Chapter submission due
October 31, 2017: Expected publication date

This is an excellent opportunity for you to share the work you and your students are doing in the areas of design, making, entrepreneurship, and global education. We want to tell your story!
